mit comodo firewall:

When the ad screen pops up, don't close it, open up Comodo.

Comodo > Defense+ > View active process list > Locate the file avnotify.exe > right click > terminate process and quarantine.

Now Avira's process avnotify.exe is quarantined and cannot execute. Meaning, it will never pop up and nag you again.
